People and Paper

Objects: Three sheets of black paper about 8 1/2 by 11 inches in size, and three sheets of white paper the same size.

This piece of black paper reminds me of n unsaved person. (Hold the three pieces together flowing only the front one to show.) The paper is lack, which suggests sin.

In order that the paper may seem more like a person, I am going to fold and tear it. (Fold the top down to the bottom. Begin where the. top and bottom come together and tear a capital "T." When unfolded it will be a capital "I.") Now we have a big black "I." Back of this "I" are two others just like it. If your life is sinful others will pattern their lives like it.

This sheet of white paper reminds me of a Christian. (Allow only the front sheet to show.) It is clean and white, like those whose sins have been cleansed by Christ's blood. (Fold sideways, and tear out half of a cross. When open, it will be a full cross.) This paper now reminds us of Christ. Not only is it clean and white, but it is in the shape of a cross.

It is Christ's desire that Christians remind others of Him. He said, "Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you" (John 15:14). You can easily see that the clean white page suggests those who are the friends of Christ.

Again, I want you to see that back of this page are two other pages, shaped just like it. If you are a real Christian, revealing Christ to others, there will be some who will pattern their lives like yours, and they, too, will come to the Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross for their sins.
